I am not sure if we are jinxing ourselves by starting the diary this soon, but today Matteo said, “pee-pee”, which honestly I wasn’t sure if that meant he had to go to the potty. We haven’t really been taking him regularly; on occasion, we sit him down on the toilet, usually at bath time. [...]
So much to report…
I have taken an unexplained break from blogging. Once we completed our kitchen and family room renovation, and moved back in to the rooms, we had to prepare for Mike’s parents’ visit. One thing led to another, blah, blah, blah. So here goes… We finished our kitchen and family room renovation! The renovation took 11 [...]
Happy Father’s Day!
Mike and I enjoyed our Father’s Day with the boys. We started by going to our favorite breakfast restaurant in Oakland, followed by a walk along the Jack London Square’s farmer’s market. We picked up a few vegetables and fruits, some of which we planned to take to our friends Kai and Michael’s house for [...]
I’m sharing
I won’t even mention that we were at Peet’s Coffee…
Momma
Monday, June 7th, Christopher, Matteo and I met Mommy Sara for lunch. We spent about an hour together catching up on Matteo’s milestones and listening to Mommy’s new adventures since our last visit. During our visit, Matteo turned to Mommy and said, “Momma, Momma.” I hesitated to see Mommy’s response. Though I was afraid she [...]
“I don’t want to eat this. It looks like cat food”
We spent some time this weekend with our friends, John and Troy, and their kids, Randy and Katie. The weather was great; the kids played on the deck in the backyard, while daddies drank “juice”. For dinner, Troy served a very delicious pot roast, polenta and salad. When we sat down for dinner in their [...]
I wonder if shoplifting runs in the family
Matteo and I went to Sports Authority yesterday to purchase a left-handed baseball glove for Christopher who loves to play baseball. He even asked for a glove “for my birthday”. After making our purchase, I strolled Matteo out to the car only to find a pair of white socks in his hand – a cheap [...]
Our next toilet-training victim
Did I say victim? I meant candidate. With Christopher fully potty trained except for night-time diapers, we won’t start training Matteo for some time; however, it is nice to see that he has an affinity for sittin’ on the pot. Another positive note – both boys wear size 5 diapers, which means we only need [...]
Happy Mother’s Day
Today we are supposed to wish a Happy Mother’s Day to my Mom, Mike’s Mom, “bonus” Mom (aka Kathi), Grandma Dot (aka G-Dot), Grandma Alicia – and we will, of course – but we want to dedicate this post to two very special Moms. To Mommy Stacey and Mommy Sara, Parents make sacrifices for their [...]
Blow, baby, blow
At 13 months, Matteo can blow his nose. If you give him a tissue, he will blow his own nose. I find this amazing. Christopher was at least 18 months, if not 2 years, by the time he mastered this skill. Blow, baby, blow.
