Lyrics: Butt crack boy and I don’t care, Butt crack boy and I don’t care. Dad, “No, Christopher, the words are, Jimmy crack corn and I don’t care, Jimmy crack corn and I don’t care,” Christopher laughingly replied, “Oh they are?”
Kids say the craziest things
After lunch today, I took Matteo to the toilet so he could, well, you know, do his business. When he finished, as we were about to flush, he said, “Bye, poopy. I will miss you.” When we got home, and I was taking him out of his car seat, he said, “Want a piece of [...]
Self-imposed time out
This morning Matteo spent two minutes in time out for scratching Christopher’s face. Thirty minutes later, after hitting Christopher, he walked himself over to the chair and sat. As he sat down, Mike said, “That’s right, you better sit in time out.” We walked into another room and chuckled. I returned to take this photo.
Matteo’s 2nd birthday
On Friday, March 11, we celebrated Matteo’s birthday. He was fortunate this year; his birthday fell on a weekday. Today, as we were getting ready to leave the house, Christopher stated that Mr. Pettibone was resting on his shoulder. In the below picture, Mr. Pettibone is getting [...]

Though we are quite pleased with his progress, he is still working on mastering the poop part. Sometimes [...]
The potty diaries – January 23, 2011
Two weeks have passed since Mike and I began potty training Matteo. Though we switched him to pull-ups during the day, he goes potty on the toilet. Over the last couple of days, he has started to tell us when he needs to go. This kid is amazing…I am hoping to have him fully potty [...]
Spitting image
Matteo’s mom recently sent us a picture of her when she was about Matteo’s age as pictured in this photo.
We had everything, but the bloodhounds snapping at our rear ends!
We arrived in Tahoe on Tuesday afternoon after a three-hour uneventful drive. When arriving, we got settled in our new house, one that we would occupy for five nights. The first night, Jason made dinner – we ate cheddar cheese soup, bread and salad. Prior to our arrival, Mike and I made large pans of [...]
