Blow, baby, blow

At 13 months, Matteo can blow his nose. If you give him a tissue, he will blow his own nose. I find this amazing. Christopher was at least 18 months, if not 2 years, by the time he mastered this skill. Blow, baby, blow.

Rockin’my K-Swiss

Yesterday, I discovered that Matteo’s toes were at the tip of his Stride Rite prewalker shoes. Bad daddies. Anyway, after walking around the Lake today, we stopped in at the Foot Locker to get some new shoes for Christopher and Matteo. I found a decent pair of K-Swiss Classics.Check out Matteo after nap time. He [...]

I know we promised to provide some evidence of the little fella walking, but with a renovation underway, let’s just say we have been a bit preoccupied. I thought I was shooting video, but instead took a picture.

Damn you, Sugar

For Easter, Nana and Pop-pop and Grandma Kathi gave Christopher and Matteo an Easter basket. In each basket, Christopher was excited to find jelly beans – excited once he ate one and realized how wonderful they were. Nana and Pop-pop’s basket came with a rather large bag of jelly beans. One day after school, we [...]

Kitchen and Family Room renovation – Week 3

We are well into week 3 of this project. We found a little bit of dry rot under the kitchen window. It looks like the damage has been there for quite some time. In fact, the contractor suggested that the previous owner half-ass repaired it at some point. We found lots of Mickey Mouse wiring [...]

It has started…

…and “why not?” We have been waiting for this day; it has arrived. We are looking to the incessant “why not, Dad (or Daddy)?” eventually to be followed by the ever popular, “Because I said so!” Yes, we are turning into our parents. Fortunately, at the moment, he seems to be satisfied with our responses [...]

The price of independence

Just the other day Christopher was taking a shower – this is not uncommon. We often put Christopher in the shower if 1) we need to clear his chest congestion, 2) reduce a fever, or 3) simply clean him quickly with little fuss. Back to the shower…as I was finishing brushing my teeth, I said [...]
