Desperate for pizza

One night last week, when we were still feeling a bit under the weather, Rainey (Uncle NeNe) was going to stop by for dinner with our favorite pizza. Sadly, he had to work late, or at least that is what he told us. Christopher, Matteo and I made a few video clips to send to [...]

Kitchen and Family Room renovation – Day 1

Call us crazy, but we are embarking a new adventure. Today is DAY 1 of our kitchen and family room renovation. I cannot begin to tell you how difficult it was to pack up the family room and kitchen not to mention set up a make-shift kitchen – one with a refrigerator, microwave and toaster/convection [...]

It’s my party, and I’ll drool if I want to…

I finally had a chance to download most of the pictures from Matteo’s birthday party. I found a few worth posting…

Amidst the sickness rampant in our home…

someone started walking! With Christopher’s probable-but-less-likely case of pneumonia and less-likely-but-more-probable ear infection and chest cold and Dad’s and Daddy’s bronchitis, we have neither had time nor the energy to document Matteo’s first steps. We captured a couple of steps on video, but by the time Mike and I started feeling well, Matteo was walking [...]

With a family-sized jar of Skippy Peanut Butter I could rule the World

Well, actually I could not rule the World, but I could at least get our sick-for-two-weeks-not-eating-ANYthing-during-this-time 3-year old to eat three teaspoons of peanut butter in one day. Of course, the antibiotics have helped…somewhat. So here is the latest scoop. If you recall, on Monday, we took Christopher, who spiked a 105-degree fever to the [...]

So here’s the deal…

Potential infections: pneumonia or ear infection. If Christopher was healthy, and presented with his ear as is, they would not treat it. The doctor highly doubts that this ear would cause his week-long symptoms – cough, fever and loss of appetite. On the other hand, she did not detect pneumonia while listening to his lungs; [...]

Update

Christopher, Matteo and I are in the parking lot of Walgreen’s waiting for Mike to emerge with the antibiotic to treat what the doctor believes may be pneumonia. Ugh… While we were in the doctor’s office, Matteo spiked a 102.2 fever. Checked him, too.

Off to see the doctor…

Everyone, except Mike, has had some malady, but Christopher has seen the worst. He woke from his nap with a fever of 105 degrees. We are on our way to see the doctor…I hope there are some antibiotics in his future!

Two sick babies

Today, I took Matteo to see Dr. Damon for his 12-month visit. When I took off his clothes so he could be weighed – he weighs 24 lbs. 2 oz. – I noticed little red spots all over his body. I immediately thought chicken pox. Much to my surprise, Dr. Damon said it is hand-foot-mouth [...]

So close to walking on his own
