Happy New Year’s Eve

Today brings a close to 2009. What a great year this was for us… Let us reflect on some big accomplishments, a few met milestones, and one huge life-changing event.

1. 2009 would not be so special if it were not for the arrival of Matteo, the little boy who added more love and laughter – not to mention crying and screaming – to our family.

2. Christopher amps up his vocabulary, and continues doing so throughout the year.

3. Christopher says, “I love you, Matteo”.

4. Matteo sleeps through the night. Oh, you have no idea how relieved we were when Matteo met this milestone.

5. Christopher celebrates turning two with a huge party and far too many presents – we are still embarrassed by the shear number of gifts.

6. Dad and Daddy celebrate 10 years of bliss.

7. Matteo gets his first tooth. He was a slobbery mess, too.

8. Matteo begins crawling. He takes one huge step – okay, crawl – toward his independence. Where’s that baby gate?

9. Matteo celebrates his first Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

10. Matteo pulls himself up onto the couch and begins to cruise – this is his latest milestone. Within a month or two, he will be walking.

11. Christopher is potty trained!

12. Christopher shares his toys with Matteo. Unfortunately, I think we have another 16 years of “stop touching me” and “that’s mine” from each of them.

13. Dad and Daddy feel like they are finally catching up on some much needed sleep.

14. Our family looks forward to a wonderful 2010.

Some great milestones here, especially the sleeping through the night one! I cannot believe how big the two boys have gotten – so cute.
