Mike, the boys and I are having dinner with mommy Sara on Saturday night. Since leaving the hospital, we have not seen her, but we text each other about once weekly or at least every other week.
We are very excited, and cannot wait to see her. Sara is someone who initially did not want any contact. We are quite pleased with this change, though, because we think that she and Matteo will benefit the most from this relationship.

That is good to hear. Our birthmom initially did not want contact either, but over the last week with the birth and meeting us I think that will change. We really have a good bond, and we’ve been texting all week. I went out on a limb and offered some pics with the caveat that we respect her decision if she said no. She said she’d love some, and she said they made her very happy. She signed relinquishments yesterday, and in her texts tells us how happy she is we have Sabrina. So maybe she’ll come around to more contact. We want to hear how your dinner goes!
